For Ground Transport, the pick-up is at the client’s home or the breeder kennel. For Air transport, pick-up is at the client’s home or the breeder kennel. Having to change hands at the airport before the trip adds stress to the animal. One more scary thing to deal with, plus a new person. A photo ID and signature by a predesignated person are mandatory.
No, we only fly on confirmed flights with seat assignments. We ensure that flights are not overbooked for pets, guaranteeing that your nanny and pet will travel. Please note that we have no control over weather or airline delays.
Yes, airlines usually charge between $90 and $150 for pets in the cabin. This fee varies depending on the airline and could change in the future. Your pet needs to be at least 10 weeks old to travel by air or ground.
No, your pet nanny will work with you to make arrangements with the airline once you have provided the destination and dates. They will need your pet’s height, weight, age, and breed to complete the booking. Flights are not confirmed until they are paid for.
For ground transport, your pet will be delivered to your home. We need your address and the name of the person who will sign to accept the pet. Photo ID and signature will be required at pick-up or delivery.
For air transport, you will meet your pet nanny at the airport. Please bring a pet carrier, collar, harness, or leash if you have not purchased these through TopNotch Pet Transport for your pet’s travel. You must pick up your pet at the terminal at an agreed-upon location within 30 minutes of the flight’s arrival time. There is a $150 penalty if you are late, as this could result in missed flights for your nanny and the need for overnight accommodation.
A valid health certificate issued by a veterinarian with up-to-date vaccinations may be needed for both ground and air transport and required for Canada. These certificates are usually issued within 10 days of travel. Your pet nanny will verify this when booking the flights. Please ensure your pet does not have fleas, as they will be denied travel if they do.
Absolutely. We use Life360 and provide you with our ground route or flight numbers and airlines. Your pet nanny will happily text you pictures of your pet’s journey.
Your pet loves your scent. If it is a new pet, it will help if they are familiar with your smell. We suggest sending a pillowcase or T-shirt that you have slept with for a few nights to your pet nanny before travel, sealed in a baggie. This will provide a familiar scent during travel and help your pet recognize your scent when you meet them. Additionally, bring a small water dish and bottled water for your pet. Do not feed them within 4 hours of travel and wait until they arrive home to feed them. If your pet is on medication, please provide the medication and instructions to your nanny so they can properly care for them.
We accept Venmo and PayPal.
We understand that life happens, so we will consider the circumstances. However, if flights are already booked, our cancellation policy of forfeiture of the deposit will be in effect. There is no refund if cancellations are made on the day of travel.
Your deposit will be 50% of the total cost, with the balance due when the pet is picked up.
